Find hidden trackers.
Review what’s nearby.
Lost your AirPods? Worried something's following you? TraceIt turns your phone into a live radar, warm when you're close and cold when you're far, and highlights potential tracker signals for you to review.
Recognizes signals associated with
Find your stuff
Powered-on AirPods, headphones, speakers, or tags may appear when they are in range and broadcasting data iOS exposes. Follow relative signal changes, then search the strongest area by hand.
Review potential trackers
TraceIt labels recognized tracker signatures as potential matches and lists other detectable Bluetooth signals alongside them. You decide which signal is unfamiliar, then follow its strength to narrow down where it is.
Everything you need to track it down
Hot / cold proximity
A live radar tracks relative signal changes as you move through a space.
Haptics & sound
Feel and hear when the selected signal strengthens or weakens.
Signal strength
Compare the current readings of detected devices, strongest first.
Potential tracker review
Recognized tracker signatures are labeled as potential matches for you to review.
Save your devices
Keep devices you recognize in a personal list so they are easy to find again.
Privacy controls
Bluetooth scanning runs on your device, with analytics and attribution disclosed clearly.
Three steps to narrow it down
Scan
Open TraceIt and tap Scan. Detectable nearby Bluetooth signals appear, strongest first.
Lock on
Pick a device. The radar turns warm as you walk toward it, cold as you move away.
Narrow it down
Follow haptics and sound to a smaller search area, then check the space by hand.
Frequently asked questions
- Can TraceIt find an unknown tracker that might be following me?
- TraceIt scans BLE signals that iOS exposes, labels recognized tracker signatures as potential matches, and shows live signal strength for a candidate you select. It does not know who owns a device or automatically establish that it followed you. Use movement, repeat scans, your saved-device context, and official platform safety tools to investigate. Detection is never guaranteed.
- How does the hot and cold finder work?
- Once you pick a device, TraceIt follows its relative Bluetooth signal. The screen, haptics, and sound respond as the signal strengthens or weakens. Because walls, metal, and interference affect RSSI, use the trend to narrow down an area and finish the search by hand rather than treating it as a distance or direction measurement.
- Which trackers and devices does TraceIt detect?
- TraceIt recognizes some broadcast patterns associated with AirTag-style devices, Samsung SmartTag and SmartTag2, Tile, and Chipolo. Other powered-on BLE devices may appear when they are in range and broadcasting data that iOS exposes. Brand matching and detection are not guaranteed.
- Is my data private?
- TraceIt does not require an account, and Bluetooth scanning runs on your device. The app uses limited analytics, subscription, and advertising-attribution services described in the privacy policy, and it does not sell your data.
- What does it cost?
- TraceIt is free to download. The full finder, including the proximity radar with haptics and sound, is unlocked with a TraceIt Pro subscription. You can see the current pricing in the app before you decide.
- Can TraceIt help me find my own lost devices?
- Yes. A powered-on Bluetooth device may appear when it is nearby and broadcasting data iOS exposes. TraceIt orders detected signals by strength and provides warm and cold guidance for a selected device. You can save familiar devices for quick access; saved devices are then shown as familiar saved rows rather than urgent tracker warnings.
- What do I need to run TraceIt?
- TraceIt is a native app for iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, with 41 language and regional localizations. A device must be powered on, in Bluetooth range, and broadcasting a signal that iOS exposes to appear.
